Where They Left Off

He believed that if destiny wants them together, they'll end up together anyway. So they drifted apart. Leaving everything to their fate. But still, a part of his heart stayed unsettled. She didn't stop him from going away. She couldn't. Not because she wanted the separation, but because she was scared of suffocating him. So, she stood there where he left her. The world moved. She did too, or at least she told herself she did. They were not not scared of leaving each other, they were scared of losing each other.
